Little Rascal031
The nursery caters for all children from birth to school age and is situated in the Willmore Hall and the small hall to the rear of the church. All activities and resources are appropriate to the age and stage of your child's development and are personal to your child through their interests using our unique floor book planning.

We are very excited to introduce our fantastic online system that allows parents to access all aspects of your child’s learning with us, daily diaries and photos at the click of a button, available at any time of the day or night from the comfort of your own home. This allows you the opportunity to get involved with your child’s learning and development, add photos from home and exciting new moments to share with us simply by logging on with your unique username and password. We have had some great feedback from parents who love to be able to see pictures of what their children have been doing during the day and contribute to their child’s development.
Little Rascal003
We differ from other nurseries as we have the personal touch. By keeping our child numbers low and having a small team of amazing staff members around your child, you can guarantee that they will receive dedicated time and care that is specific to their needs.

We love going out on walks locally, exploring the community and working closely with our local children’s centre to provide a range of opportunities for your children. We like to access the outdoor play area in all weathers!! (Please remember your wellington boots.)

The nursery has a 'free flow' outdoor area, fully secured and risk assessed by the children (with adult supervision)

We continue to review and develop our setting to ensure the standard of care is maintained.

Values and Ethos

Our Ethos,

Our Ethos,

The unique child
At Little Rascals Day Nursery, we believe that ‘Children are the future’. Early experiences the children are exposed to have a huge impact how children develop throughout childhood and into adulthood to support this we aim:

  • To provide high quality care and education.
  • To create an environment that provides security and opportunities for children.
  • To build strong partnership with you and your children.
  • To offer a service that promotes equality and values of diversity.

Our values and ethos of Little Rascals Day Nursery requires staff, children and parents, to come together to support each individual child in all aspects of early life. We believe children are unique and deserve opportunities, security and quality care. We encourage positive behaviour, using our staff to role model and promote positive behaviour within the nursery. Our environment supports ‘learning through play’, where children are encouraged to take part in adult led and child initiated activities. Children free flow within the nursery enabling them to develop their confidence and independence.

We respect that parents are their children’s first educators and we hugely value our strong partnership with parents. Parents and carers are welcome to participate at the nursery and we actively encourage an open and respectful relationship between practitioners and our children’s families.

We greatly value the huge impact that active learning has on children’s development and the importance of outdoor play. Our daily practice focuses on your children’s interests and carefully incorporating this into our planning supporting their individual learning and development.
